Darren Ray Love

Darren Ray Love, aged 50, a lifelong resident of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, at Baptist Hospitals of Beaumont. Darren was born to Betty Lou Spears Love and P.B. Brad Love on 10/30/1973. Darren had a deep passion for music, finding solace in singing and playing the drums in his church. Darren is survived by his sisters, Linda Palumbo-Britt and her husband Nathan of Vidor, TX, and Celese Love of Vidor, TX. Additionally, Darren is remembered by his brothers, Barkley "Wade" Love and his wife Phyllis and Jay Johnson and his wife Rosa of Acworth, GA. Darren also leaves behind his nieces; Tawnya Strother and husband Robin Strother of Lumberton, TX, Natashia Crowe of Seabrook, TX and Charie "Pebbles" Johnson of Seabrook, TX, and Krislyn Love. He is survived by his nephews, Billy Ray Baldwin of Vidor, TX, Joseph Segrest and wife Misty Segrest of Vidor, TX, Luke Palumbo and wife Katie of Humble, TX, Nathan Johnson of Acworth, GA, Zackary Johnson of Acworth, GA, and Christopher Love. Darren was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Brad Love, his brother Richard “Ricky” Johnson, his sister Alice Love, and his Aunt Billie Jo Spears. The family extends a special thank you to the Jubilee Group Home family for their unwavering support and care during Darren's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Jubilee Group Home in Darren's honor. Your contributions will help continue the legacy of care that meant so much to Darren. Darren Ray Love's passion for music and his warm spirit will be dearly missed. The family is comforted by the fact that Darren will be made whole and reunited with his loving parents and brother. Darren’s first sight ever was that of the Heavens and his Mom’s beautiful face as she embraces him and this brings great joy to all who loved him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory bring comfort to those who cherished him.
