Darrin Matthew Smith

Darrin M. Smith, 23, of San Antonio died Saturday, October 14, 2006 in San Antonio, TX. A lifelong resident of Vidor, and 2002 graduate of Vidor High School, he lived in San Antonio for the past 2 years and was a pipefitter helper with A J Moiner Construction. He greatly loved golf, music, car races, and hunting, but his biggest love was for his family and friends. A Funeral liturgy outside mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2006 and a Christian Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, the late J W Garrett, and Jerdon Smith. He is survived by his parents David Smith of Vidor and Debra Smith and step-father Jimmy of Vidor, brothers Denver Smith of Vidor, Asa Smith of Beaumont, Zain Smith, and Payton Smith both of Vidor, grandparents James and Darline Kelcher, Dorthy Smith, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
