Deborah “Debbie” Jo Butler, 74, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Orange, Texas.
Debbie was a longtime resident of Vidor and devoted her life to caring for others through her work as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She retired from Altus Home Health Care after many years of dedicated service. Nursing was not just her profession—it was truly her calling, and she touched countless lives with her compassion, kindness, and steady presence.
Outside of her career, Debbie had a deep love for animals and was especially fond of her dogs. Her nurturing spirit extended to every part of her life, and she will be remembered for her generous heart and unwavering love for her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Strother and husband Brent of Orange, Texas; granddaughters Nacona Miller and husband Shane of Vidor, Texas, and Kaitlyn Smith of Orange, Texas; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Ella Gibbs, Graycen Miller, and Kacen Miller.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Ruby Mansfield, and her brothers, Arthur Jay Mansfield and A.B. “June Bug” Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, honoring Debbie’s lifelong love for animals.
