Debra Ann Hanks, 65, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, surrounded by her loving family.
Debra was a longtime resident of Vidor. As a young woman, she worked at her grandfather’s law firm before beginning a career at McLeod Machine Works, where she dedicated over 30 years of service. Her coworkers became more like family to her, a testament to her warm and caring nature.
In her younger years, Debra loved riding horses and barrel racing. She also enjoyed playing bingo and Pokeno, swimming, going to the beach, and watching her grandchildren play sports. She had a love for music and dancing, but above all else, her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristina Stockwell and husband Alvie Stockwell Jr.; her son, Brian Mayfield and wife Julia; her boyfriend, Kennon F. Perry; her siblings, David Courts and wife Terri, James Courts and Armenda Courts Boteler; her grandchildren, Landen Ford Hanks, Ahmad Braylyn Atia, Grace Mayfield, Wyatt Stockwell, Elaina Stockwell, Holley Moore, Erin Dyer, Ford Nelson, and Tyler Lee; her great-grandchildren, Easton F. Hanks, Ty C. Arrant, and Evelynn N. Lee; her niece, Tabitha Ramb; her nephew, Lance M. D. Sweeney; along with many other beloved family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Rayford Hanks Jr.; her sister, Patricia Mae Fuller; her mother, Amy Sanders Bohler; and her father, Bert Courts.
Debra will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family.
