Don Claudius Poole, Jr

Don C. Poole, Jr, 89, of Beaumont died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Gloster, MS, he lived in the Beaumont/Vidor area for 63 years. Don was an Operator at Pure Oil/Union Oil for over 30 years and served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW Post 49 in Orange and was a deacon for Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2006 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home. Don is survived by his son: Don W. Poole of Lumberton, TX, daughter: Donna J. Fowler of Reston, VA, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
