Dorothy Jean Dewitt

Dorothy J. Dewitt, 75, of Vidor died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Garrison, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 56 years, and was a homemaker. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Alan Hue Dewitt, brother Travis Bowen, and sister Elmie Hayers. Dorothy is survived by her husband Daniel Dewitt, sons Daniel Wayne Dewitt, and Larry Stanley Dewitt all of Vidor, brothers Louis Bowen of Port Arthur, Junior Bowen of Warren, and Truett Bowen of Vidor, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
