Earl Wade Borel

Earl Wade Borel, 95, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, May 8th, 2023, at his home. He was born on October 15, 1927, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Wade Joseph Borel and Rita Segura.

Earl was a member of Community Church in Orange since 1982. He served in the US Navy and was assigned to the USS Klondike. After leaving the service, Earl worked for Bluebonnet Mattress Company in Port Arthur until 1952 when he went to work for Gulf Oil as a boilermaker until his retirement in 1986. Upon retirement, Earl and Velma traveled extensively with the Vidor Pirates Travel Group.

Earl's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Earl is survived by his children, Pamela Dixon and her husband John of Brookeland, TX, Danny Earl Borel and his wife Debbie of Mauriceville, TX., Troy Edward Borel of Vidor, TX, his grandchildren, Allen Dixon and his wife Kris of LA, Derrick Borel and his wife Andrea of FL, John J. Dixon and his wife Sarah of Tyler, TX, Brandie Falls and her husband Chuck of Bridge City, TX, Jason Dixon and his fiancee Libby of Orange, TX, Dillon Borel of Vidor, TX, Candice Borel of Dallas, TX, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife Velma Louise Gaspard.
