Eli Duford Pipps

Eli D. Pipps, 69, of Vidor died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Zowelle, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 62 years, and was a retired painter for Russell Brothers. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008, and all day on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the funeral home. He is survived by his son Stephen 'Buddy' Pipps of Vidor, daughters Nancy Pipps of Vidor, Tina Cure of Sam Rayburn, TX., and Nicole Schroeder of Vidor, brothers Lucian Pipps of Vidor, Eldon Pipps of Beaumont, and Billy Pipps of Vidor, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
