Elizabeth Estelle Walters

Elizabeth (Beth) Estelle Walters, 73, of Evadale, TX passed away on March 22, 2023. Elizabeth was born on April 10, 1949 in Beaumont, TX to Marion Courts Blackman and William S. Blackman of Beaumont, TX. After moving to Vidor, Elizabeth became a hairdresser where she met her husband of 55 years Jimmy Walters. After three dates, the two married and Elizabeth took time to stay home to raise her two beautiful children. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy; mother Marion Blackman of Newnan, GA; daughter, Tracy Graves (Adam) of Evadale, TX; son, Carlin Walters (Michelle) of Porter, TX; sister, Shirley Lukens of Newnan, GA; brother Bob Blackman (Bonnie) of China, TX; five grandchildren: McCartney Graves of Boston, MA; Matthew Graves, Cpl, Jacksonville, NC; Carley Walters of Austin, TX; Joseph Walters and Luke Walters of Porter, TX.

Beth was well-known in the community. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, where she served on the financial committee, was a member of Legion of Mary, and was an alter server. Beth worked for 15 years as a dental assistant for Dr. Jackson Porter, DDS. Beth loved her grandchildren and was likely to be found cheering them on at their events.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 5:00pm at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (memorialofvidor.com), located at 1750 SH-12, Vidor, TX 77662. Rosary will follow Visitation at 6:00pm.
