Emanuel "Al" Allison

E.E. "Al" Allison, 92, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, February 16th, 2017 at home. A native of Warren, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Al served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was at the Invasion of Normandy. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He worked as a welder and was a welding instructor for many years and belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers Local #196. Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Allison Cemetery in Warren, TX. Al is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ora Lee Allison, 1 daughter; Diane Peveto and her husband Weldon of Vidor, and 1 son; Keith Allison and his wife Paula, also of Vidor. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Al was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Minta Freeman and Mary Lou Beeson, 1 brother; Eddie Allison and 1 great grandchild; Dawson Finley.
