Eunice Eloise Broussard

Eunice Eloise Broussard, 81, of Orangefield, passed away on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

A longtime resident of Orangefield, Eunice was a devoted member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Bridge City. She lived a full and vibrant life, filled with love for her family, her faith, and her many passions. Eunice was an exceptionally kind woman whose strength and warmth touched everyone she met.

She was valedictorian of her high school class and an outstanding athlete — excelling in basketball and leading her team to three consecutive state championships. Her competitive spirit carried into everything she did, whether it was designing beautiful cakes, cooking for her family, or taking on new adventures while traveling with her husband.

Eunice had a long and fulfilling career, serving as Director of N’Style Beauty College in Orange and later as the night manager at Walmart in Bridge City, where she was respected for her leadership and genuine care for others.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Melvin Broussard of Orangefield, TX; children Lori Smith and husband Larry of Cedar Park, TX, Wendy Rojas and husband Jorge of Pflugerville, TX, Trevon Broussard of Orangefield, TX, and Tanner Griffin of Orangefield, TX; and brother John Roy Killen and wife Kathy of Buna, TX.

Eunice was a proud grandmother to Lindsey Smith, Tera Pocobello, Trent Griffin, Mandy Wright, Diego Thomas Rojas, Roman Rojas, and Nekko Rojas, and a cherished great-grandmother to Kylie, Adilynn, Taivyn, Theo, Liam, and Sebastian.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Arvitti Killen, beloved daughter Corley Hardin, parents-in-law Geneva and Tommy Broussard, and brother-in-law Donald Broussard.

Eunice will be remembered for her boundless kindness, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to every life she touched.
