Evelyn Arnett

Evelyn Arnett, 81, of Beaumont died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Panola County, TX, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor before moving to Beaumont a couple of years ago. Evelyn was a seamstress at Orchid Cleaners in Vidor for 40 year and was a night attendant for Memorial Funeral Home for 4 years. She was a charter member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2007 at Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation was held Sunday, February 25 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Charles Arnett and daughter Brenda. She is survived by her daughters Joy Benson of Houston, TX, Charlene Arnett of Amarillo, TX, brothers Milton Wooten of Sour Lake, J.D. Wooten of Alto, TX, sisters LaJeanne Osburn and Tommie Wilhite both of Marlin, TX, Wanda Lewis of Nederland, TX, grandchildren Jessica Strickland and her husband Burt, Jana Benson, great-grandchildren Ty Strickland, and Nolan Strickland, many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Pecan Acres Baptist Church Building Fund 2000 Jap Ln. Vidor, TX, 77662.
