Evelyn Tappe

Evelyn Schroeder Tappe, 79 died Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 in Beaumont. A native of Brenham, Texas she was a longtime resident of Vidor who loved to work in her garden and flower beds. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister and was very devoted to her grandsons. She will be missed by all who knew her. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles Tappe, son, Robin Tappe and wife Melissa of Vidor and 2 grandsons, Braden and Camden Tappe. She is also survived by her sister, Argie Mims, nephews Randy Mims and wife Mary, and a great niece, Ashley Mims. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian Schroeder, and a daughter, Shelia Tappe. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Faith Assembly of God in Vidor. Burial will be in Brenham, Texas at a later date. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
