Francis Paul Tullier

Beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and proud veteran of Vietnam; Francis Paul Tullier entered the gates of Heaven on November 14, 2022, at the age of 73. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on May 1, 1949, to the late Merle Marie (Perkins) and Harold Peter Tullier. Paul's family moved to Vidor in 1965 where he graduated from Vidor High School, a member of the class of 1967. Upon graduation he soon joined the United States Army where he proudly and valiantly earned the distinction of being a Purple Heart recipient as well as earning a Bronze Star, all while defending this great country during the Vietnam War. Paul spent his free time hunting, building model airplanes, riding bulls, scanning the frequencies on his ham radio and making friends, or enjoying the sun and breeze riding his Harley Davidson. Paul and his beloved wife, Sheryl, have lived in Jasper, TX for the past two decades. Paul was proceeded in death by his parents, Merle Marie (Perkins) and Harold Peter Tullier, brother, Harold Peter Tullier, Jr., and sister Carol Tullier Young. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over twenty years; Sheryl Darby Tullier, three sons; Clinton Paul Tullier of Bonham, TX, Justin Paul Tullier of Houston, TX, and John Paul Tullier, & wife, Dena of Vidor, TX, five grandchildren, Trenton Tullier, Preslee Tullier, Haleigh Broucher, Eric Weyant, and Alyssa Tullier, his sisters; Cheryl Akbari of Houston, TX, and Lisa Matteson and husband, Scott of Lake Charles, La., mother-in-law; Charlene Muirhead, sister-in-law; Kristi Darby and husband Gary Bryan, brother-in-law, Michael Darby and wife, Barbara, nieces; Maryam Akbari and Monica Courville, nephews; Chris Akbari, Dakota Courville, and Brian Young, his best friend; Ray Gibson, as well as, a host of other family members, friends, comrades and loved ones. Services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, TX. The family will welcome visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, and his services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
