Franklin C. Parker, 66, of Vidor died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Houston VA Medical Hospital in Houston, TX. A native of Beeville, TX, he was a resident of Vidor since 2005. Franklin graduated from Daisetta High School and was baptized at Central Baptist Church in Daisetta, TX. Franklin served his country in the US Navy, where he retired after 22 years of service and the US Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post# 8246 in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m Friday, March 2, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents Jewel and Gussie Parker, brother Eugene Parker and step-son Chris Erwin. He is survived by his wife of two years Pamala Parker, son Robert Parker and his wife Elizabeth of Kingwood, TX, step-daughter Sherry Palumbo and her husband Keith of Groves, TX, brother Lewis Parker of Vidor, TX, sisters Genvieve Caruthers of Batson, TX, Beverly Fore of Magnolia, TX, Wanda Johnson of Flint, TX, Arlene Holcomb of Spring, TX, Donna Johnson of Etoille, TX, Alice Mathews, Drusilla Lindbeck, Brenda Long and Peggy Hall all of Vidor, TX, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends and his faithful companion Chesty.
