Fred Allen Davis, Sr., age 74 passed away Sunday April 28, 2024. peacefully at his Texas home. Allen was born February 17,1950 in Beaumont, Texas to Buck and Lenora Davis. He was a 1968 graduate of Vidor High School and then attended the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship program. He was a sheet metal worker for 20 years and then started a business with his brothers. He retired from Genco in 1992 and in 1994 relocated his family to Darby, Montana where he hunted, fished, and watched his children and grandchildren grow and prosper.
Allen lived his life simply. He believed if you hunted, you ate what you killed. You fished and ate what you caught. You gardened and ate what you grew. He loved the little things in life. He loved helping others and never asked for anything in return. Many will tell you, “he was one of a kind”.
Allen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara, a son Freddy, a daughter, Amanda Stoker, (and husband Anthony); 6 grandchildren; Tyler (and wife Jleigh), Tanner (and wife Ariana), Talen, Marley, Zeke, and Izzy; 2 great grandchildren Reid and Oaklynn. A brother, Gene Davis, a sister, Mary Jane Noble, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Buck & Lenora Davis, a brother Robert William (Bill), and a sister Barbara (Bobbie) Johnson. He loved them all very much.
