Gerald Bubba Smith

Gerald “Bubba” L. Smith, 51, of Vidor died Monday, July 24, 2006 at his residence in Vidor. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Bubba was an operator for J.V. Industries and was a volunteer Fire Fighter for Pine Forest from 1979-1981. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet-Nam era. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home. Bubba is survived by his mother: Millie Smith Williams of Vidor, TX, brother: Dwayne Smith of Vidor, TX, sisters: Donna Smith Barrera of Milam, TX, Freida Shinn of Vidor, TX, and Geraldine “Sissy” Brister of West Columbia, TX, numerous nieces and nephews.
