Glenda Cooke

Glenda Cherie Jasper Cooke, 76, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023, at Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont with her family by her side. She was born on March 14, 1947, in Houston, TX to Raymond and Geneva (Moore) Jasper.

She married Joe Cooke on May 24, 1963. Together, they had six children. The twins being the coolest by far. Glenda worked as a clerical coordinator in the ER at Christus St. Elizabeth hospital for many years. After leaving, she devoted her time to her hobbies and her family, namely her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Dawn Cooke Meneses and her husband Mark, Joseph (Joe) Cooke, Kari Cooke, Keri Gillies and her husband Daniel, Jeremiah Cooke and his wife Bryanna, Matthew Cooke, and his wife Lacey. Her brother Raymond Jasper and his wife Rosa, her sister Marcia Hatch, and her brother Moroni Jasper and his wife Theresa Kay. As well as 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many, many beloved nieces, and nephews. Glenda was preceded in death by her husband Joe Cooke, her father Raymond Jasper, her mother Geneva Erwin, and her brother Jerome Jasper.

Funeral services for Glenda will begin on Saturday, November 18, 2023, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and the funeral at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Interment will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor with Sherry Nicholson officiating the service.
