Glenn Murry Stanley

August 15, 1950 — August 27, 2023

Glenn Murry Stanley, a beloved resident of Vidor, passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, at his cherished home. Born and raised in Vidor, he remained a lifelong resident of the community he loved. A dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Glenn's faith was an integral part of his life. He was widely known as the skilled owner and operator of Glenn's Custom Cabinets, where his craftsmanship left an indelible mark on homes throughout the area. Glenn's service extended beyond his business. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy, exemplifying his commitment to duty and honor. Beyond his military service, he found joy in his passions. A fervent enthusiast of car racing, Glenn's need for speed was equally matched by his love for the skies. An accomplished pilot, he embraced the freedom of flight and the open skies above. When he wasn't in the air, Glenn could be found tending to his garden, a space he cultivated with care and dedication. His green thumb was a testament to his nurturing spirit. Travel was another of Glenn's passions, and he relished the adventures of exploring new places and embarking on memorable cruises.

However, above all, Glenn's heart belonged to his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, knowing that these were the memories that truly mattered. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the moments he shared.

Friends and loved ones are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Vidor, TX.

Glenn is survived by his devoted wife, Jo Ann Stanley of Vidor, TX, and his son Adam Stanley, siblings: Kathleen Jennings of Alvin, TX, and Lonnie Stanley of Vidor, TX. His legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren: Cherie, Andrea, Austin, Breanna, Colby, Haley, and Christian, as well as his great-granddaughter Olivia, who brought him immense joy.
