Gracie Brooke Harris, 22 years old, passed away on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at her residence in Beaumont, Texas. She would have turned the young age of 23 on November 15th. She lived the majority of her life in Vidor, Texas surrounded by family and many friends.
There are so many words to describe Gracie, but if there was one word that could describe her best, it would be “Sunshine”. Gracie was a bright light in this world, and her warmth could be felt when she walked into any room. Her laugh was contagious, and her smile was as beautiful as a field of sunflowers. She had a heart of pure gold and loved deeply, without bounds and without judgment. To know Gracie, was to know love. Gracie was known as our social butterfly of the family; She could make friends with anyone and wasn’t afraid to spark a conversation. Gracie left a special mark on everyone in her life including family, friends and co-workers. She loved animals, listening to music, reading books, and was always up for adventure.
Gracie is survived by her sister Paisley Buck and husband Levi, her brother Cole Michalk and wife Mireya including her nieces and nephews: Sofia, Damian, Easton, and Macy, her father Thad Harris, her bonus mom Rachele Vollert, grandfather Jimmy Smith and wife Joy, grandmother Fae Harris, her uncle Joby Smith and kids: Shiloh and Camille, her aunt Sandy Harris, her uncle Wade Watson, her boyfriend Tristan Westbrook, and her cat Toulouse. She is also survived by many close cousins and dear friends who loved her. Gracie was preceded in death by her mother Wendy Harris, her grandmother Candy Smith, her aunts Tammy Watson and Kelcie Smith, and her grandfather John Harris.
Gracie Brooke Harris will be deeply missed by so many. A soul gone too soon, but never forgotten. Gracie knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and there is peace knowing she has been made perfect and whole for eternity. Heaven gained the most beautiful soul and her legacy will remain in our hearts forever here on Earth. 🦋
