Gregory Otis Staten

Greg Otis Staten, 79, longtime resident of Vidor, TX, passed away on April 20, 2024 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas. He had retired after more than 30 years with the Northstar Steel Mill (Cargill) where he worked as a supervisor. Greg found joy in camping, fishing, and traveling the United States. He also enjoyed spending precious time with his family. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 6:00 Pm until 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Charlotte Staten, his sons Mike Staten and wife Richel, and Shannon and wife Renell Castle, as well as five grandchildren: Ashtchin Kilmer, Morgan Stockdale, and David, Daniel, and Michelle Staten. He was preceded in death by his son John Staten.
