Guy Busby Jorden

December 29, 1960 — January 19, 2023

The family of Guy Busby Jorden are devastated to announce the sudden but peaceful passing of their beloved father, son, brother, nephew, and his proudest role, Grandpa and Uncle. Known warmly as “Buzz” to everyone he loved. Buzz was born in Houston, TX in 1960, and was the baby brother out of 4 siblings, though he went to outgrow them all. His family moved all over the country in his early years, but always considered Vidor, TX to be his home, where he attended events for the class of ‘79. After high school, Buzz toured the world as a Fire Control Technician for the United States Navy. He had several callings after his 12-year stint in the Navy, including being a Deputy Sheriff in Lafourche, Parish, LA, but his proudest was being a Grandpa and Uncle to his grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He enjoyed regular Taco Tuesdays with his Big Sister and Native American Studies, but family was his world. Buzz is proceeded in death by his son, Norman Emmette Jorden, his wife Ana Maria Sanchez, father, Emmette Jorden, Sr., his sister, Carol Jorden Cleveland, brother-in-Law, Larry Crocker, and many aunts and uncles. Buzz is survived by his is Daughter: Mira Lopez and her husband, Jaime Coba, Son: David Lopez and his wife Grecia Cervantes, Son: Joshua Lopez and his wife, Carolina Lopez, Grandchildren: Anita Soto, Sofia Coba, Benjamin Coba, Sumy Lopez, Joshua Job Lopez. His mother Mary Ann Schram, his stepmother Patricia “Gabe” Gabel, his sister Dorothy Crocker, his brother Emmette “Butch” Jorden as well as several adopted brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will all miss him dearly. Graveside services will be Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas, in Lieu of flowers that donations are made to the Wounded Warrior Project: https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/
