Jack Edward Maxwell, 93, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his residence.
Jack was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Vidor and lived his life rooted in family, faith, and hard work. Jack retired after many years as a truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication.
In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and woodworking, finding peace in working with his hands. In his younger years, Jack loved fishing at the beach, a pastime he always remembered fondly.
He is survived by his children, Eddie Maxwell and wife Sandra of Buna, Texas; Jerry Maxwell and wife Rachel of Buna, Texas; and Cara Monic and husband Thomas of Lumberton, Texas; stepchildren, Pam Costello of Galveston, Texas; Chad Costillo of Vidor, Texas; and Mike Heads of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Ruth Maxwell; his wife, Linda Maxwell; his brothers, Wilson Maxwell and Bobby Joe Maxwell; and his sisters, Marjorie Fells and Betty Sheppard.
Jack will be remembered for his steady presence, kind heart, and the simple joys he found in life.
