James Clifton Martin

James C. Martin, 76, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Gulf Healthcare Center in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Apple Springs, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1957, and was a retired double A operator with A. Schulman after 40 years of faithful service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Betty Jean Martin. He is survived by his daughters Linda Owens of Orange, LaRue Bean, and Zethria Stafford both of Vidor, brother Penny Eugene Martin of Vidor, sisters Zethria Frederick, and Addie Dell Okun both of Lumberton, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
