James Earle Benson, Jr.

James E. “T-Bone” Benson, 55, of Vidor died Tuesday December 24, 2002 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Sweetwater, Texas, He lived in Vidor for the past 20 years. T-Bone served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Ranger during the Vietnam era, and was a plumber with the Local 68 in Beaumont. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 28, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Peggy Benson of Vidor, TX., sons: Robby of Loris, SC., Ricky of Florence, SC., James of Vidor, TX., Ronald of Vidor, TX., daughters: Angie of Vidor, TX., Shelly of Buna, TX., 7 Grandchildren.
