James Todd Barnes

James Todd Barnes, 53, of Beaumont died July 16th, 2021 at Baptists Hospitals of Southeast Texas. He was a Beaumont native and continued to live in Beaumont. Todd was the owner and operator of Barnes Equipment. He graduated from South Park High School. He was a loving husband and adoring father to his daughter Ashlyn. He loved anytime they got to spend together whether it was fishing, hunting, or just hanging out together. Todd loved fishing, hunting, cooking, playing pranks, loved making jokes and making people laugh, and most importantly getting to spend time with family and friends that he considered family. He was always doing something and was a Macgyver who could fix anything around the house. His visitation will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor at 10:00 Am with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Todd is survived by his wife of 23 years Stacy Barnes of Beaumont, TX, daughter Ashlyn Nichole Barnes and her boyfriend Randall Winn of Vidor, TX, father James Harold Barnes of Starks, LA, sisters Lisa and husband Michael Kilroy of Pactos, CA, Rachelle Hudson of Buckeye, AZ, Janna Maldonado of Corpus Christi, TX, brothers Michael and wife Kim Hudson of Pheonix, AZ, and Beau and wife Kerri Cheney of Sulphur, LA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Michelle Colvin-Hudson, stepmother Emma Barnes, sister Sherry Wilcox, and brother Karl Cheney.
