James Joseph Valdez, a beloved automotive mechanic and cherished family member, passed away on October 7, 2024, in Orange, Texas, at the age of 44. Born on September 3, 1980, in Beaumont, Texas, James brought joy and laughter to the lives of all who knew him.
He his career to his passion for automobiles, working diligently at the Truckville Chevy Dealership. James's education included his time at Vidor High School, where he furthered his skills by attending the LIT Transmission Automotive Program. His commitment to his craft was evident, and he took pride in every vehicle he worked on.
James was a true embodiment of warmth and kindness; he was known for his joyous personality and playful spirit. As a prankster, he had an infectious ability to make people laugh and a generosity that resonated deeply with his loved ones. He consistently put his family first, showing a big heart in every action he took.
In addition to his work, James had a passion for the arts, often indulging in drawing and music. His creative side was also expressed through his talents as a tattoo artist, where he shared his artistic vision with others.
James leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his parents, Ralph Valdez and Barbara Valdez, and his children: Tristan Burk, Seth Rogers, Lily Hyde, Alex Hyde, and Jace Joseph Valdez. His goddaughter, Selena Evelyn Valdez, along with his siblings, Jason Turner, Mark Chantzifotiz, and Leonard Smith, and niece Angel Christina Perez also cherish the memory of a man who had an enduring impact on their lives.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Soledad and Angel Valdez, and Abner and Mary Darbonne, as well as siblings Joe Chambles and Barbara Renee Valdez Perez, and beloved second mom Brenda Gay Turner. Their memories live on in the stories shared by his family and friends, celebrating a life well-lived.
James Joseph Valdez will be deeply missed, but his spirit and laughter will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
