Jana Dianne Paterno

Jana Dianne Paterno, 75, of Vidor, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at her residence.

A native of Houston, Texas, Jana was a longtime resident of Vidor. She was a devoted, longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jana retired after many years as a Spanish teacher with Vidor Independent School District, where she touched the lives of countless students.

She was known as a great cook and found joy in sharing meals with those she loved. Above all, Jana cherished spending time with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Daniel Paterno of Vidor, Texas; her children, Torre Paterno of Vidor, Texas, Marcus Paterno and wife Bethany of Centerville, Utah, Alise Bailey and husband Evan of Spring, Texas, and Gabriella Larmouth and husband Chris of Spring, Texas; her siblings, Gary Torres, Glenda Wright, and Patty Gross, all of Vidor, Texas, Anita Torres of Oklahoma, Kevin Torres of Arizona, and Kyle Torres of Fort Worth, Texas; and nine grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

Jana will be remembered for her faith, her dedication to education, her generous spirit, and her deep love for her family.
