J.D. Stinson

J.D. Stinson, 83, of Vidor, TX died Friday, February 3rd, 2017 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Nacogdoches, TX, J.D. was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of the Vidor congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the Smokey and Rocky mountains. J.D. is survived by 2 daughters; Gail Hartman and her husband Darrell of Marrero, LA and Susan Thomas of New Orleans, LA, 5 grandchildren; Jon Hartman and wife Kerstin of St. Simmons, GA, Angela McLain and her husband Brian of Modesto, CA, Marty Thomas of San Francisco, CA, Jeremy Thomas and wife Natalie of Louisville, KY, and Jaden Thomas of New Albany, IN, 4 great grandchildren; Marguerite "Bitsy" Hartman, Logan Hartman, Allistar "Allie" Jewel-Hartman and Jaycee Thomas. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Delores and Dorothy, 1 brother; Glen Stinson, and 1 daughter-in-law; Patricia Stinson-Bashan and her husband Charles of Ragley, LA. He was preceded in death by his wife; Sadie Ruth Stinson, 1 son; Michael Stinson, and 1 grandson; Michael Stinson, Jr. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
