Jerry Eugene Blankenship, 53, of Vidor died Wednesday December 17, 2002 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, He was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Jerry was a member of Vidor Assembly of God and was self employed as a carpenter. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 19, 2002 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday December 18, 2002 at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 31 yrs Kathy Blankenship of Vidor, TX., mother: Lillie Blankenship of Vidor, TX., daughters: Monica “Monkey” Roark, Jennifer “Blondie” Blankenship Pool, Mandy “Little OU” Blankenship all of Vidor, TX., other daughter: Pam Sims of Vidor, TX., brothers: William Blankenship of Philippines, Paul Blankenship of Vidor, TX., Clifford Blankenship of Vidor, TX., Thomas Blankenship of Kountze, TX., Patrick Blankenship of Vidor, TX., sisters: Janie Masters, Sarah Jones, Becky Markham all of Lumberton, TX., Nancy Vercher of Vidor, TX., Mary Hammock of Silsbee, TX., 7 Grandchildren: Colby, Taylor, Josie, Caleb, Cameron, Nathan, and Michaela.
