Jimmie "Jim" Don Haley, 76, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas. Born in Mexia, Texas, Jim was a longtime resident of Vidor, where he was a cherished member of the community.
Jim was a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church and lived a life of faith and service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, a testament to his bravery and dedication. In addition to his military service, Jim was an active member of the Masonic Pine Forest Lodge #1420, the El Mina Shriners in Galveston, Texas, and the Cashan Grotto in Beaumont, Texas.
Professionally, Jim was the owner and operator of his own trucking business, a career that reflected his hardworking nature. Despite his demanding work schedule, he always made time for his favorite pastimes, which included hunting, playing golf with friends, and spending quality time with his family.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Beverly Haley of Vidor, Texas; his daughter Lindsey Sudela of Vidor, Texas; his sisters PJ Haley of Orange, Texas, Renee` Smith and her husband Lynn of Orange, Texas, and Roslyn Haley of San Antonio, Texas. He also leaves behind two cherished granddaughters, Shianne and Scarlett Sudela, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Jim's legacy of hard work, devotion to family, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished by all who had the honor of knowing him.
