Jimmie Monroe Jones

Jimmie Monroe Jones, 84, was born in Beaumont, TX on January 23rd, 1934. He passed away November 10th, 2018 at his home in Vidor, TX. Jimmie was a longtime resident of Vidor and served his country as a Military Police in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Jimmie was a carpenter for over 60 years and retired from Watkins Construction. Visitation will be Monday, November 12, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Jimmie is survived by his wife Andrea Jones, 3 sons; Jimmy Jones and his wife Lucy, Bobby Jones and his wife Holly, and Jeff Jones all of Vidor, 2 step-daughters; Cheryl Parker-Biddy and her husband Robbie of Kountze, TX and Carol Parfait of Vidor. He is also survived by 1 brother; Arthur Jones of Kountze, 3 sisters; Dorothy Pelton and Betty Peltier both of Lumberton, TX and Mary Jameson of Houston, TX, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; Newton Jones and Emma Augusta Sojourner and 1 brother; George Jones. Our family would like to thank Dr. Arfeen, Dr. Bowells, and LaDawn of Harbor Hospice.
