JOSEPH C. ORTEGO, 68, of Vidor died Friday, December 27, 2002 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Burkrick, Louisiana he has lived in Vidor since1965, and was a retired custodian for Tubal Cain Industries in Vidor. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation was Sunday, December 29, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Virgie Ortego of Vidor, TX., sons: David Ortego of Vidor, TX., and Joseph T. Ortego of San Antonio, TX., daughters: Deborah G. Jefferson of Nederland, TX., Carla J. Mefford of Lakewood, WA., Michelle Marshall of Bridge City, TX., Lisa G. Hoagland of Paola, KS., and Rene Johnson of Germany brothers Russell Ortego of DeQuincy, LA., and Roland Ortego of Arunaldville, LA. Eleven Grandchildren, and Three Great Grandchildren.
