Joseph Marion Bertrand

Joseph M. Bertrand, 58, of Vidor died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at his residence. A native of Farmersville, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 55 years, and was a retired electrician after 35 years with IBEW #479. Joseph was a member of the NRA, and coached Vidor Girls Little League Softball on Operators Lane. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Joseph is survived by his daughters Margie Bertrand Poplin of Kountze, Tara Martin of Lawrence, KS., Brandy Braneff of Nederland, and Bonnie Bertrand of Orange, brothers Richard Bertrand of Vidor, and John Bertrand of Opelousas, LA., sisters Lurline Fontenot of Opelousas, LA., Dora Morris of Denham Springs, LA., and Ethel Foggleman of Bunkie, LA., and six grandchildren.
