Kenneth "Kenny" Vincent Lukenbill, a beloved resident of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at the age of 79 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and had been a cherished member of the Vidor community for many years. Kenny's life was filled with diverse interests and a can-do attitude that endeared him to all who knew him. Kenny was the part owner and operator of Franklin Steel in Beaumont, where he poured his heart and soul into his work, leaving a lasting impact on the local business community. He was also a longtime member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor. His faith and community involvement were sources of inspiration to many. Kenny's passions extended beyond the professional and spiritual realms. He was known for his exceptional woodworking skills, creating beautiful pieces that showcased his talent and craftsmanship. He had a thrill for adventure and enjoyed dune buggy rides and off-roading, embracing the exhilaration of the great outdoors. Kenny graduated from Vidor High School in 1962 and maintained strong connections with his classmates throughout his life. His reputation as someone who could tackle any task with skill and determination earned him the respect of all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Vivian Leflett Lukenbill of Vidor, Texas, who was his steadfast partner in life. He is also survived by his two cherished daughters, Mary Annette "Puppet" Lukenbill of Beaumont, Texas, and Kristina Dawn "Kris" Lukenbill of Vidor, Texas, and bonus daughter Sharon Grant Meredith. In addition, he is survived by his brother Bobby Lukenbill and wife Legatha of Vidor, Texas, and his extended family, including Don Mobelini of Ohio and Larry Wilson of Tennessee, and Pam Ennis of Tennessee. Kenny's legacy lives on through his two adoring grandchildren Kelsey McKinley and husband Michael, Shelby Miller, three great-grandchildren Macelynn, Kenner and Kase McKinley, who were a source of immense joy and pride for him. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, along with his siblings, Janet Lukenbill Baker, David Lukenbill, and Michael Lukenbill. Kenny Vincent Lukenbill will be fondly remembered for his unwavering faith, his dedication to his work, his creative talents, and his zest for life. He leaves behind a loving family and a community that will forever cherish his memory. The family would like to extend a special thank you to nephew Scott Smith and his wife Kay along with granddaughter Kelsey McKinley for holding, comforting and praying over him in his final hours.
