Lavoy Wilkerson Iii

Lavoy Wilkerson III, 52, of Vidor, passed away on August 19th, 2023, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. He was a longtime resident of Vidor and had attended Turning Point Church, finding solace and strength in his faith. Lavoy dedicated over 30 years to his role as an industrial painter supervisor at Partners Industrial, formerly Brock. His work ethic, expertise, and leadership inspired his colleagues and left a lasting impact. Nature was his sanctuary, where Lavoy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and grilling for friends. These simple joys brought him immense happiness and created lasting memories. Family was Lavoy's heart. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM August 23, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Lavoy is survived by his children, Hannah Netterville and husband James of Vidor, TX, Lavoy Hunter Wilkerson of Nederland, TX, and Haylee Wilkerson of Nederland, TX. He was also a proud grandfather to Aubree, Wesley, and Jace Netterville, Also surviving him are his father, Lavoy Wilkerson Jr and wife Cathy, siblings; Lisa Wilkerson Cousins and husband Shane, Loren Wilkerson, and Danielle Bienvenu. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Sticker, his grandparents Ella Mae Wilkerson and Lavoy Wilkerson Sr, and his uncle, Larry Wilkerson. In his passing, Lavoy leaves behind cherished memories of a life lived with dedication, kindness, and a sense of adventure. As loved ones gather to honor his memory, they reflect on his enduring faith, love for his family, and the impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.
