Leonard "Buddy" E. Huffman

Leonard "Buddy" Huffman, a longtime resident of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. He was 73 years old. Buddy was a retired construction worker and preacher, dedicating his life to serving his community and spreading the word of God.

Buddy was a beloved member of the Rose City Baptist Church, where he found solace in his faith and actively participated in church activities. He touched the lives of many through his inspiring sermons and dedication to helping others.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Friends, family, and community members are invited to pay their respects during this time.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Rose City Baptist Church, followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. The service will be a time of remembrance and celebration of Buddy's life, as he is laid to rest in the presence of his loved ones.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane Huffman of Vidor, TX, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He is also survived by his children Larry Allen Hadaway and his wife Donna of Vidor, TX; Louis Shane Hadaway and his wife Elizabeth of Shelby County, TX; Georgette LeBouff and her husband Ernest of Bridge City, TX; and Anthony Wade Huffman of Vidor, TX. Buddy is also survived by his brothers Dennis Huffman of Gena, LA, and John Thomas Huffman of Yazoo, MS.

Buddy leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, as he will be dearly missed by his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His impact on their lives will forever be cherished, and his memory will continue to inspire and guide them.
