Leslie Burt Weatherford

Leslie "Burt" Weatherford, 73, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his home. A lifelong resident of Vidor, Burt was a skilled floor installer known for his strong work ethic and even stronger love for the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or spending time at his camp with a cold Miller High Life in hand, Burt lived life on his own terms and treasured the simple moments with friends and family. For over four decades, he hosted the annual Easter Family Picnic, a tradition his daughter proudly continues. He found joy in his grandson Charles, his beloved German shepherds, the occasional river rescue, and even a few rescued raccoons along the way.

Burt is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Connie Weatherford of Vidor; daughter Natasha Keith and husband Brian of Vidor; mother Marge Lane of White Rock, NM; sisters Mary Lou Sobak of White Rock, NM, and Laurie Farmer and husband Jimmy of Novato, CA; grandchildren Charles Stiles of Vidor, Tyler Keith and wife Caleigh of Livingston, and Tanner Keith and wife Kayla of New Caney; six great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie “Les” Weatherford.

Burt will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the stories he told, the traditions he built, and the laughter he shared.
