Lewis Dean Oldbury

Dean Oldbury, 89 of Vidor died Thursday, November 15th, 2018 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Aline, OK, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Dean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor. He was a painter with International Union of Painters local #130. Dean enjoyed working in his shop, barbecuing and gardening. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, November 19, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Dean is survived by his wife of 33 years Mary Oldbury of Vidor, TX, children Cloy Jean Ward of Tomball, TX, Mark Oldbury Sr., Douglas Oldbury, LaDean Taylor, Traci Campbell, Terri Corrigan all of Vidor, TX and Pate Steele of Boston, MA, siblings Burdette Oldbury Sr. of Mauriceville, TX, Delmer Oldbury of New Braunfels, TX, Blaine Oldbury of Vidor, TX, Freddie Peck of Vidor, TX, Joissine Tucker of Vidor, TX, and Nelwyn Marion of Vidor, TX, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by his parents Otha, Helen and Beulah Oldbury
sister Modesta Willey, brother Blue Oldbury and grandson Mark Oldbury Jr..
