Linda Ruth Fletcher Mulreany, 66, was born September 15, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida. She grew up in Vidor, Texas, was a graduate of the VHS Class of 1969 and a lifelong fan of the Pirates. Linda attended Lamar University and as an adult she lived in Beaumont where she died August 7, 2017.
For almost two decades, Linda worked in financial services at Bethlehem Steel and a number of banking institutions across the state of Texas. However, she retired from that career, finding her greatest fulfillment as she and her husband, John, shared in the nurturing of their “special baby” Paige Broussard, joyfully watching her grow from infancy to the young woman she is today.
Linda’s parents, Clyde and Beverly Fletcher, and her beloved sister, Betty Jo Reynolds, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, John Mulreany, of the home, her brother, Mike (Patti) Fletcher of Vidor, a sister, Pam (Mike) Paslay of Fayetteville, Arkansas, her brother, Mark Fletcher of Vidor, eleven nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation with the family is planned at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Thursday, August 10 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11 at First Baptist Church in Vidor at 2:00 PM. with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
