Linda "Nana" Joyce Blanchard

Linda Joyce Blanchard, affectionately known as "Nana," passed away on Sunday, December 31st, 2023, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was 68 years old. Linda was a native of Lufkin, TX, and a beloved longtime resident of Vidor. Linda's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and commitment to her community. She was an active member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church, where she found solace and camaraderie among her fellow parishioners during countless game nights. Linda retired from the Vidor Independent School District after dedicating 17 years of service as a dedicated cafeteria worker. Known for her incredible talent as a seamstress, Linda's hands worked magic with fabric, creating beautiful garments that reflected her creativity and attention to detail. Her love extended beyond her personal projects, as she often volunteered her skills to help others. Linda's true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether she was hosting game nights with friends at the church or simply enjoying precious moments with her loved ones, Linda cherished every opportunity to create lasting memories. Linda "Nana" Joyce Blanchard is survived by her children Larissa Higuera of Vidor, TX, Roger Hollier and his wife Karen of Vidor, TX, Sarah Skiles and her husband Justin of Vidor, TX, and Candice Whitewood and her husband Justin of Port Neches, TX. She is also survived by her sisters Debbie Hollier of Vidor, TX, and Susie Maines of Vidor, TX, along with brothers Phillip Bailey of Silsbee, TX, Paul Bailey of Vidor, TX, and Mitchell Bailey of Vidor, TX. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, as well as 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
