Lindsey Wain Odell Jr., 55, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong resident of Vidor, Lindsey was known for his strong faith and deep relationship with God, which remained a guiding force throughout his life. He was a hardworking and devoted man who took immense pride in his craft. Lindsey retired in December 2024 from Alcode Plumbing, where he worked as a plumber for many years.
Lindsey had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing, and found peace and joy in nature. He had a special bond with animals and especially loved his dogs. Known for his big heart and compassionate spirit, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Lindsey is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Amanda Odell of Vidor, TX; his children, Amber Bivens, Andrew, Micah Dahlenburg, Christopher Odell, Tyler Odell, and Jacob Odell; and stepchildren, Allison Cook, Andrew Brimer, and Mary Ann LaRue. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald Odell and George Braden Shirley Jr., and seven grandchildren who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey Odell Sr. and Patsy Laverne Odell.
Lindsey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
