Lynda Lea Parker, 82, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 30th, 2024. A longtime resident of Vidor, Lynda was a dedicated member of Maplecrest Baptist Church. She had a deep passion for genealogy and was actively involved as the registrar of the San Jacinto Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Additionally, she was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Confederacy. These pursuits were only surpassed by her love for her family, whom she adored.
Lynda is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Bobby Parker Sr. of Vidor, TX; her children, Bobby Parker Jr. and wife Cynthia of Vidor, TX, Clifton Parker and wife Renee of Orange, TX, Traci Parker Barrientos and husband Luis of Katy, TX, Eric Parker of Lufkin, TX, and Ryan Parker and wife Carol of Vidor, TX. She also leaves behind her siblings, Noelle Conway of Comanche, TX, Roseanne Laurents of Bandera, TX, Donna Steinbomber of Georgetown, TX, and Audrey Turner of Port Arthur, TX; as well as eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Roselle Davis; her son, Keith Parker; her grandson, Bobby Gene Parker III; and her siblings, Clifton Davis, Oma Jean Gibson, Irene Davis, and Marilyn Mayeaux.
