Manuel Vera Jr.

Manuel Vera Jr., 92, of Vidor died Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehab in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Manuel was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidor and was a Planner Supervisor at Texaco and retired after 41 years of service. Manuel served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and blacksmithing. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and funeral services will start at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Manuel is survived by his wife of 51 years Betty Vera of Vidor, TX, son Terry Gene Vera and his wife Laura of Sunset, TX, step son Verlon Wright and his wife Sue of Mauriceville, TX, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
