Margaret Ann Smith

Margaret Ann Smith, 70, of Vidor, passed away Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at her residence. A native of Beaumont, Texas, she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Margaret was the proud owner and operator of Hometown Florist in the Lakeview area of Vidor, where she shared her creativity and love for beautiful arrangements with the community for many years. She was also an active member of the Vidor Lions Club and enjoyed giving back through community service. In her spare time, she loved sewing and spending time with her family, who were the joy of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Elmer “Smitty” Smith of Vidor, TX; her children Bobby Smith of Carrollton, TX; Don Smith and wife Tiffany of Okinawa, Japan; and Leonard Smith and wife Reiko of Cocoa Beach, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Kaley Smith, Halen Smith, Kouske Smith, Kouta Smith, and Harper Smith.

Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the many lives she touched through her work, service, and friendship.
