Margaret Ann Smith Trahan

Margaret Trahan, 81, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was born on August 4, 1944, in Oakland, California, and had been a longtime resident of Vidor.

Margaret was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She had a gentle, caring nature and a deep love for animals, often feeding the squirrels around her home.

She is survived by her sons, Byron Trahan of Vidor, TX, and Scott Trahan of Vidor, TX; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Trahan, and her siblings, Evelyn Trahan and Elmo Smith.
