Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson, 88, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at her residence. A native of Port Arthur, Texas, she had been a longtime resident of Vidor.

Mary Ann was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, where she actively participated in parish life and was a proud member of the Altar Society, Lourdes senior citizen group, finance council and finance audit committee. She dedicated her career to education, teaching for Vidor Independent School District and Beaumont Independent School District until her retirement.

She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her church community. Mary Ann will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Ellis and wife Mary of Vidor, TX, sisters-in-laws Nancy Ellis of Vidor and Barbara Johson of Houston, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Sr. and Agnes Ellis, her husband, Harry Johnson, and her brother, Clyde “Tommy” Ellis Jr.
