Mary Magaline Swiger

Mary Magaline Swiger, age 96, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, October 1st, 2023. She was born in Center, Texas, and was a beloved and longtime resident of Vidor. Mary was a devoted member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor and dedicated her life to her family and faith. Mary was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. She also shared her faith with others by teaching Sunday school for over 20 years at Northend United Pentecostal Church. Mary is survived by her loving children: J.C. Statum Jr. and his wife Lynn of Vidor, TX; Judy Lemp and her husband Don of Vidor, TX; Barbara May of Vidor, TX; and Debbie Brister and her husband Don of Vidor, TX. She is also survived by her dear sister, Jean Windham of Center, TX. Mary's legacy continues through her 15 cherished grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Swiger, and her children, Sherry Willey, Diane Coleman, and Michael Swiger. Mary Magaline Swiger's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, love, and dedication to her family and her church. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
