Mavis Marie Chesser

Mavis M. Chesser, 83, of Vidor died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Vidor Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Vidor. Mavis was a lifelong resident of Vidor, and a homemaker. Mavis was a member of North Main Church of Christ in Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Mavis was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Chesser, parents John and Amma Murphy, brothers Frank 'Buddy' Murphy, Edwin Murphy, and Ennis Murphy, sisters Grace Hutchinson, Helen Jones, Addene Hollier, and LeDonia Miller. Mavis is survived by her sons David Chesser of Vidor, and John Chesser of Crystal Beach, TX., daughter Cheryl Richey of Orangefield, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
