Michelle "Shelley" Buford, 62, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor but had been residing in Evadale for the past two years.
Shelley cherished her beloved dog Maggie and found immense joy in the simple moments spent with her furry companion. She had a heart of gold, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Shelley had a passion for crafting, particularly through crocheting and working with paracord. Her handcrafted creations were a reflection of her generosity and love for others.
One of Shelley's greatest joys was tending to her garden, where her green thumb truly shone. She found solace and fulfillment in nurturing life and watching her garden flourish. Family barbecues held a special place in Shelley's heart, where she savored the warmth of togetherness and shared laughter with loved ones.
Above all, Shelley adored her nieces and nephews, finding immense joy in their company. She cherished every moment spent with them and was a source of unwavering love and support in their lives.
Shelley is survived by her brothers Jeff Buford and wife Ginger of Vidor, TX, and Greg Buford and wife Shelley of Vidor, TX. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be carried on by her nephews: Colby Buford and wife Katy, Garrett Buford, Greg "Little Greg" Buford, Ryan Buford and wife Jayde, Keenan Kitchens, and Austin Jackson and wife Lorelei. Additionally, she is survived by her great nieces and nephews: Ethan Buford, Austin Jackson Jr., Brock Barbosa, Jonathan Barbosa, Dahlia Kitchens, Juliana Jackson, Heaven Buford, Beth Elliot, Faye Uzzell, and Eric Dotson, Reba.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Patricia Buford, sister Debbie Askew, and nephew Asher Kitchens.
Shelley's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
